Temple Kidney Transplant Program Welcomes Iris Lee, M.D.

Iris Lee, M.D. recently joined the Kidney Transplant Program at Temple University Hospital as a transplant nephrologist. Her major clinical and research interests are renal transplantation, T-cell tolerance and transplant immunology and immune mechanisms of nephritis.

Dr. Lee comes to Temple from the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia where she was an attending physician. An active researcher, Dr. Lee is a four-time winner of the Young Investigator Award from the American Transplant Congress. She was also awarded the Astellas Basic Science Fellowship Grant for her exploration of the role of chemokine pathways in the trafficking of Foozp3+ T-regulatory cells post-transplant.
